It was a beautiful, sunny day, so I ventured out to see what I could find. Right about lunchtime I arrived at a horse show where the youth and western classes were taking place. It was extremely hot, and I was in full sweat by the time I walked from the car to the show ring. When I started watching all these people in long pants, long sleeve shirts, jackets and helmets, I thought I was going to suffer from heat stroke just by being in their presences. There were two very small trees where all the spectators gravitated to get some protection from the sun. The riders and the horses carried on with their routines, following instructions from the judges, but I must say, none of them seemed very spunky.
